Timesheet & Job Scheduling Pilot

Short field trials of two connected workflows — capturing and approving time, and scheduling qualified crews onto jobs — built to prove the process before we commit to full development. Pick your system and role below.

Timesheets

Sign in with Google
📱

Worker

Log your hours against a job and site, request time off or report sickness, and see your own submission history.

Open Worker →
On your phone: open this, then use your browser's "Add to Home Screen" so it opens like an app.
🧑‍💼

Supervisor

Review your team's submitted timesheets, approve or return them with a reason, and decide on leave and sickness requests.

Open Supervisor →
💷

Payroll admin

Give final approval, lock the pay period once everything is settled, and record the manual export to Xero.

Open Payroll →
📊

Reports

Total hours, subsistence claimed, and a breakdown by worker, job and allocation code for any date range.

Open Reports →
⚙️

Admin

Add job numbers and sites, manage subsistence types and rates, and open the next pay period once the current one is exported.

Rule29 use only — this isn't one to share with the client's team.
Trouble opening a link? The first visit on a new device may ask you to sign in to Google — that's expected for this pilot. If a page shows an error instead of loading, check you're using the exact link above rather than one typed or forwarded from memory. Questions go to Rule29, not the pilot client directly.

Links point to …/exec?page=… on the pilot's Apps Script deployment. If that deployment is ever recreated from scratch (not just updated with a new version), these links will need updating to match.

Job Scheduling

Sign in with your scheduler username

Put qualified, available crews onto jobs. The system checks skills and certificate expiry, availability, double-booking and lone-working rules, flags anything it can't satisfy, and emails each worker their own job ticket with the H&S, RAMS and equipment details.

🗓️

Timeline

See every job across the coming weeks at a glance — what's running, what's crewed, what still needs people and anything that can't be filled.

Open Timeline →
Best on a laptop or tablet — the timeline needs the width.
📋

Schedule & tickets

Create and edit jobs, pick a crew from the eligible workers, check it against the rules, then email each worker their personalised job ticket.

Open Schedule →
👷

Workers

Keep each worker's details, skills and certificates (with expiry dates) and their leave and other bookings up to date.

Open Workers →
📍

Sites, skills & RAMS

Maintain the sites with their induction, access and hazard notes, the list of skills and certifications, and links to RAMS documents.

Open Sites & skills →
⚙️

Admin

Add schedulers and reset passwords, switch scheduling rules on or off, and review the audit log of every decision and override.

Admin accounts only.
Job Scheduling has its own sign-in — use the username and temporary password Rule29 gave you, and you'll be asked to choose your own password the first time. No Google account is needed. If a page shows "unable to open the file" instead of the sign-in screen, your browser is signed in to more than one Google account: open the link in a private/incognito window instead. Forgotten your password? Ask a Job Scheduling admin to reset it. Questions go to Rule29, not the pilot client directly.

Links point to …/exec?tab=… on the scheduler's Apps Script deployment. If that deployment is ever recreated from scratch (not just updated with a new version), these links will need updating to match.
